Well, it's back to the drawing board for the oldies – Dave Chilvers lost even more of his hair and watched his team go down by a single point to Cassie Graham’s juniors.

A really enjoyable evening kicked-off with Cassie winning the toss and taking White on the odd boards – a decision not greeted favourably by her youngest team member Joseph Allin, making his debut at the club, who announced ‘But I prefer being Black!’
With just 45 mins each for all moves, the oldies knew they would be under pressure against their quick-fire opponents and the early exchanges favoured the youngsters. With about 20 mins remaining, the juniors reached the winning score of 4.5:
Stung into action by these set backs, the remaining oldies played brilliantly to win late in the session – congratulations to Dave Chilvers, Don Banks and Robin Trinkwon who rolled back the years with some fine tactical and positional play.
A really big thank you the all the club seniors who have made the juniors so welcome over the season, it is much appreciated.
